Steve Von Wald wrote a sympathy message

“I, Steve VonWald am very sorry to hear this. Good memories We hung out and played football together. Brett was #69. In practices, coach would call him to get in, and he'd take off running /shuffeling onto the field, uttering his proverbial "F...€", only as brett does . Remember a teacher ran him down for chew in his pocket, he said it was a mary K cosmetic kit. Brett had character, gritt, personality and quick whitt. I pray he is with the Lord and that I will see him again”
