It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carrie Kirschbaum of Mason City, Iowa, who passed away on February 2, 2026, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton Young and Jennie Young (Christensen); her brothers, Donald, Milton Jr. and Russ Young; and her pet Kobe.
She is survived by: her husband Gary Paul Kirschbaum; her close friend Gary Kirschbaum; her children, Dawn Hansen (Don), Tami Gerdom (Denny), Kim Arndt (Mike) and Mike Kirschbaum (Mary Kaye); her grandchildren, Ryan Hansen (Traci), Scott Hansen (Bria), Jennifer Hansen (Shanda), Katherine Walker, Sunni Lensing (Jim), Ashley Trousdale (Ryan), Lauren Anderson (Jeff), Christopher Bourbon (Steven), Travis Arndt (Jordan), Dylan Arndt, Amanda Dannen (Josh) and Alex Kirschbaum (Taylor); and her close friend Karen Bernhardt. She is also survived by twenty five great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
