With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Darlene E. Reinig (Mason City, Iowa), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Darlene left this world on January 20, 2026 at the age of 91, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Maude Marguerite Bachman (Henry); her brother Delbert Eugene; her husband James Joseph Reinig; her son-in-law Craig Cobb; her father Clarence Bachman; and her siblings, Vivian Elaine, Maxine Matherson and Roger Bachman.
She is survived by: her children, Jay Reinig, LuAnn Lauters (Dan), JoAnn VonAhn, Chuck Reinig and Becky Cobb; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Jo Reinig and Ruth Bachman. She is also survived by 13 Grandchildren, 34 Great Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Miracle Travel Works (https://miracletravelworks.org) in memory of Darlene and in honor of her great granddaughter Reese who is a cancer survivor or to St. Bonface Catholic Daughters of America.
