It is with sadness that the passing of Erwin Loyd Moritz of Mason City, Iowa is shared. Erwin, born on December 15, 1931, passed away on August 28, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Judi; his parents, Herman Moritz and Ida Moritz; his siblings, Carl, Alfred, Vernon Moritz and Eleanor; and his son-in-law Larry Conlon.
He is survived by: his daughters, Karla Conlon, Kaylene Moritz, Kelly Moritz and Krista Moritz; his granddaughter Erin Burrow (Dave); his great grandchild Winter Dean Burrow; and his brother Leroy Moritz. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, church family and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel (126 3rd St NE, Mason City, IA 50401). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church (419 N Delaware Ave, Mason City, IA 50401).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hawkeye Harvest Food Bank, Retrieving Freedom and Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
