With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Jay Deshler of Mason City, Iowa, born in Charles City, Iowa, who passed away on September 8, 2025 at the age of 55. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Nancy Lynn Kuhlemeier; and his grandparents, Jean, Gene and Betty. He is survived by: his wife Amy Beier; his father Richard Lacoste; his sons, Ryan Deshler and Jeffrey Deshler; his sisters, Carrie Brown (Don) and Jenni Fleming (Jim); his nephews, Cody and Wyatt Brown; his former wife Amy Deshler; his sister Nancy Stamp (Matt); Linda and Roger Beier.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel (126 3rd St NE, Mason City, IA 50401). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, September 14th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, Big Jim would have liked donations to be made to One Vision, 600 Glen Oaks Dr, Clear Lake, IA 50428.
