She was predeceased by: her husband John Steinauer; her parents, Gary Roeder and Sylvia Roeder; her brother Merwin Roeder; and her great grandchild Leighton Dinnes.
She is survived by: her daughter Tracy Thomsen; her grandsons, Brett (Hannah Lorenzen) and Bridger Thomsen; her daughter Kerry Balk; her grandchildren, Joshua Balk, Elizabeth Stitz (Joe) and Shannon Walker (Cody); her son Tim Steinauer (Monica); her granddaughters, Laura Dinnes (Austin) and Sarah Hanowski (Matt); and her great grandchildren, Remi Stitz, Sterling Walker, Barrett Stitz, Addie Dinnes, Lainey Dinnes, Ruben Walker, Mallory Hanowski and Letha.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Major Erickson Funeral Home (111 N Pennsylvania Ave, Mason City, IA 50401). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (100 S Pierce Ave, Mason City, IA 50401). A burial was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 at the Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery (1224 S Washington Ave, Mason City, IA 50401).
