We announce the death of Nancy Elizabeth Bailey of Mason City, Iowa, who passed away on September 4, 2026, at the age of 83. Nancy will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, William "Willy" Funk and Margaret Bartusek (McDonald); her husband Paul Bailey; her stepfather Louis Bartusek; her daughters, Melinda Ficken and Michelle Morgan; and her brothers, Louis "Jim" Bartusek, Robert "Bart" (Larece) and Tony Bartusek (Joann).
She is survived by: her children, Laurie Chiarello (Paul) of Plattsmouth, Dale Ficken of Mason City, Angela Hill of Muscatine and Mark Whitten of Mason City; her stepdaughter Stephanie Staver (Matthew) of Ankeny; and her siblings, Ron Bartusek and Donna Henaman. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel (126 3rd St NE, Mason City, IA 50401). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
