He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Neuhring and Marie Neuhring (Johnston); his in-laws, LaVern and Lillian Tolzman; his siblings, David Neuhring and Rhonda Pappas; his son-in-law Douglas Schmidt, Jr.; and his brothers-in-law, Albert Tolzman, Dennis Tolzman (Linda) and Jeffrey Tolzman.
He is survived by: his wife Diane; his children, Lori Schmidt, Brad Neuhring (Joan) and John Tolzman; his grandsons, Brandon Schmidt (Ashley), Jeremy Schmidt (Cambria), Steven Schmidt, Austin Schmidt (Bailey), Stone Tolzman and Blade Tolzman; his great grandchildren, Kaiden, Kinsley Schmidt, Carter, Ryder, Emersyn Schmidt, Jack Schmidt and Kam Schmidt; his sisters, Millie Godfrey (Danny) and Marge Baack (Harlan); and his sister-in-law Susan Berry (Tom). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel (126 3rd St NE, Mason City, IA 50401).
