With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Ellen Yarger of Massena, Iowa, who passed away on November 21, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Hitt and Dora Hitt (Bode); her husband Ron; her siblings, Robert, Lee Hitt and Ileana Ellis; her siblings-in-law, Ewing Ellis, Wilma Way, Jeanette Patach, Karen Hitt, Rosemarie Hitt and Teresa Hitt; and her great grandchild Marah Leigh Yarger.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Roberts (Jim) of Wolcott, CO, Ronald Lee Yarger II (Chris) of Wahoo, NE and Jeffrey Yarger (Caryn) of Eagle; her grandchildren, Pascoe Roberts, Jamie Lee Friese, Alex Yarger, Abigail Dagel, Katie Smith, Sophia Yarger, Nick Thompson, Charlotte Nestor, Wade Thompson, Jared Thompson and Caitlin De'Aeth; and her brothers, Charles Hitt of Omaha, NE and Jake (Virginia Hitt) of Greenfield, IA. She is also survived by many great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
Memorials: May be directed to the Mary Ellen Yarger Memorial Fund to be established at a later date.
