He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack McCannon and Erma McCannon (Sly); and his siblings, Dale McCannon, Walter McCannon, David McCannon and Doris.
He is survived by: his wife Willa Drewer; his daughters, Lisa Jo Hulsey (Charlie) of Haskill, OK, Deborah Angel (Kevin) of Glenpool, OK, Tamara Sanders (Steve) of Edmond, OK and Cristina Armitage (Paul) of Burlington; and his niece Casandra Bishop. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Lunning Funeral Chapel (2620 Mt Pleasant St, Burlington, IA 52601). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
A memorial has been established in his memory for Spring Grove United Methodist Church.
