We are sad to announce that on April 23, 2024, at the age of 73, Richard Hassett of Mediapolis, Iowa, born in Sloan, Iowa passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Richard Hassett to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert "Bob" Hassett and Ann Hassett (Brell); and his siblings, Micki Laddusaw, James "Jim" Hassett and Joseph "Joe" Hassett.

He is survived by : his wife Peggy Hassett (Lindeen) of Mediapolis; his children, Shelly Hassett-Player (Riccoh) of Abilene, TX, Ryan Hassett (Heather) of Bonner Springs, KS and Nicole Hassett of Cedar Rapids; his stepchildren, Ryan, Nathan, Tyler Aamodt, Josh Gerst, Minda Swisher and Collin Gerst; and his siblings, Pat Hassett, Bob Hassett (Lynda) and Rusty Hassett. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; six step-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mediapolis Global Methodist Church (601 North St, Mediapolis, IA 52637). A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
