Judy touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her son John Demmel; her brother Ron Fels; her former husband James Demmel; and her son-in-law Fred Sonny Philipp. She is survived by: her children, Jeff Demmel (Kris Gibson) of South Amana, Jennifer Philipp of Palo and Joel Demmel (Becky) of Amana; her grandchildren, Lindsey Nelson (Zach), Natalie Kuesel (Blake), Kylie Demmel, Matt Demmel, Hunter Philipp, Stone Philipp (Abbe), Jenna Demmel and Sydney Demmel; her great grandchildren, Elliot, Ethan, Emersyn Kuesel, Holland, Haven Nelson and Sutton Philipp; and her close friend Robert Graesser.
A memorial fund has been established for the Amana Church or Essence of Life Hospice.
