Norman Richard Geiger Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Norman Richard Geiger (Middle Amana, Iowa), born in Amana, Iowa, who passed away on June 6, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry A. Geiger and Johanna Geiger (Schwalbe); his brother Harlan; his sister-in-law Margaret Geiger; and his granddaughter Emily O'Keefe.
He is survived by: his wife Rosemarie Pitz of Middle Amana, Iowa; his son Stuart Geiger (Amy) of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Hanna Lindgren (TJ) of Colorado Springs, Benjamin Geiger (Anne) of Urbandale and Olivia Geiger of Cedar Rapids; his daughter Elaine Geiger of North Liberty; his grandchildren, Allison O'Keefe (Samuel Slusher) of Alexandria, Virginia, Kurtis O'Keefe of Lone Tree and Erin O'Keefe of Chicago, Illinois; his great grandchildren, Carter, Connor, Brendan Lindgren of Colorado Springs, Hallie and Ava Geiger of Urbandale; his siblings-in-law, Harold Pitz and Lauren Fortune; and his nephews, Stephen Geiger and Scott Geiger.
Visitation was held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Amana Church (622 45th Ave, Middle Amana, IA 52307). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the University of Iowa Dance Marathon in honor of Emily O'Keefe (https://events.dancemarathon.com) or the Amana Church Society.
