He was predeceased by: his parents, John Serenes Smith and Eva Mae Smith Chelf; and his in-laws, Dwight and Shirley Hill. He is survived by: his wife Angela; his children, Brian Lewis Smith (LeAnn Dahn), Valery Lynn Smith and Natalie Dawn Smith-Bartenhagen (Jeff); and his stepdaughter Melissa Hofmann.
