He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman "Pat" Berne and Edna Louise Burtalow Shotwell; and his brother Willard Shotwell. He is survived by: his son Johnathon Shotwell of Chicago, IL; and his sisters, Kathy Downey (David) of New Boston, IL, Jeanette Chenault and Nancy Bjorne (Gary) of Byron, IL. He is also survived by nine nieces and nephews; and 22 great nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established for the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie 150 in Burlington.
