He was predeceased by : his parents, Stanley Nelson and Jean Nelson (Lanpher). He is survived by : his granddaughter Maddie; his sons, Owen Nelson (Amy) and Travis Nelson (Meredith); his granddaughter Tessa of Whittemore, IA; his daughter Bridget Nelson of Fairmont, MN; and his siblings, Doug Nelson (Deb) of Milford, IA, Jerry Nelson (Candie) of Spirit Lake, IA, Jeana Ridder (Tom) of Omaha, NE and Dean Jacobus. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
