She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Harkins and Grace Harkins; her former husband Bernard Lee Fulkerth; her husband Darryl "Cowboy" Smidt; and her brother-in-law Jerry Day (Ron Brock).
She is survived by: her children, Bernie Fulkerth (Deb) of Hartley, IA, Daniel Fulkerth (Natascha) of Kenosha, WI, Randy Fulkerth (Connie) of Alta, IA, Dean Fulkerth of Milford, IA and Tammy Naab of Milford, IA; and her stepchildren, Brenda Nattress (Gene) and Mike Smidt. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, fourteen great‑grandchildren, and one great‑great‑grandchild.
