He was predeceased by : his parents, Rodney Black and Irene Black (Amanzio). He is survived by : his daughters, Susan Thomas (Marlon) and Patricia Espenson (Marty); his grandsons, Jackson, Brody, Ryley, Kyle and Brady; his great grandchildren, Hadley, Jaxtyn and Kasyn; and his siblings, Sandy Knudson, Jim Black and Jennie King.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in the name of Rodney Black.
