He is survived by: his wife Tanya Michener; his children, John Levi Michener (Ginny) and Jaclyn Chaplin (Noah); his grandson John Cooper Michener; and his siblings, Joyce Shaw (Jim) and Dennis Michener (Jennifer). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Matt's honor may be made to Indianola Community Church, designated to Land of Hope Africa, an orphanage in Zambia, Africa.
