He is survived by: his children, Mary Cartmill of Missouri Valley, Linda (Mel Heintz), Angie (Steven Olson), Bill Schreck of Mondamin and John (Christy Schreck); his grandchildren, Kate, Andy, Jeff, Nate, Ryan, Sam, Lindsey, Stephen, Emily, Melanie, MaryRose, Ben, Elizabeth, Bree, Ashley, Bill and Royal; and his siblings, James (Ione Schreck), Betty Lou (Mark Schwery), Elaine Nieland of Carroll and Connie Bruner of Fort Dodge, Iowa. He is also survived by 21 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (215 N 7th St, Missouri Valley, IA 51555). A rosary was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 1:30 PM.
