With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edward Richards Meadowcroft in Mitchellville, Iowa, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 11, 2026 at the age of 84. As Edward departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Edward. Though Edward may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Meadowcroft; his children, Lisa McNerney (Daniel), Lauri Bennink (Andrew) and Bart Meadowcroft (Judy); and his siblings, Douglas Meadowcroft and Sue Kaufman (Harlan). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
