He was predeceased by: his parents, Karen Martinache and Donald Martinache; his grandparents, Chester, Jessie Mattice, Hilda Martinache and Earl Martinache (Lou); his siblings, Kelly Knowles and Donnie Martinache; and his brother-in-law Ron Tangeman.

He is survived by: his daughter Sydnie Martinache (Brett Ellringer); his grandchildren, Lennon and Landry Ellringer; his siblings, Jim Martinache (Karla), Kevin Martinache, Wendy Battles (Doug DeHaai), Kimberly Cook and Cindy Tangeman; and his brother-in-law Patrick Knowles (Connie).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Sydnie Martinache in Chad's memory.
