It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edgar William Nickelson of Monroe, Iowa, who passed away on July 6, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Edgar William Nickelson to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Nickelson and Amy Irene Nickelson (Lancaster); and his brother Don. He is survived by: his wife Barb Hume; his sons, Dan Nickelson (Amber), David Nickelson (Lacey) and John Nickelson (Kaila); and his grandchildren, Trent, Kate, Gracelyn, Donovan, Brody, Bryson, Ada and Mason.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 113 S Monroe St, Monroe, IA 50170.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Monroe Public Library or the PCM Boy Scouts.
