We bid farewell to Cindy Gabel of Montezuma, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 5, 2026 at the age of 61. Cindy touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenton Dea Capper and Vera Capper Rogers (Windman); and her sister Lori Duggan. She is survived by: her husband Mick Gabel of Montezuma; her children, Jessy Mateer (Staci Kruseman) of Oskaloosa and Brandy Mateer of Oskaloosa; her stepchildren, Melody Beaman (Chris) of Eldridge, TX, Joel Gabel (Crystal) of San Marcos, TX, Erick Gabel (Jennifer) of Ottumwa and Amanda Caya (Chris) of Boscobel, WI; her grandchildren, Rylee Mateer, Brennan Mateer, Nova Plate, Remi Walker, Doug Collins, Justin Collins (Chelsea), Colton Gabel, Addison Gabel, Owen Mitchell Gabel, James Baures III and Izzabell Caya; her great grandchild Madelyn Collins; and her siblings, Drent Capper, Sherry Nilson (Mike) and Yanette Graham (Dale). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
