She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur Stanley and Mabel Stanley (Van Genderen); her husband Arlo Van Hoever; her sister Miriam; her grandson Ben Sharer; and her son-in-law Kent McIlrath.

She is survived by: her children, Penni Sharer (Lee) of Montezuma, Danny Van Hoever of Montezuma and Ginger McIlrath of Montezuma; her grandchildren, Bart Sharer (Sheri), Bri Haynes (John), Holly Wickham (Wes), Bristen Brown, Jeb Brown, Madison Rahm (Spencer), Baylee and Buck Van Hoever; her great grandchildren, Stevie, Westen, Willow, Jadyn, Taylor, Dominic, Greyson, Max and Ruby; and her great great grandchildren, Shayde and Syrus.
