He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Douglass and Opal Douglass (Beatty); his wife Virginia "Ginny" Douglass; his daughter Joyce Flippin; his daughter-in-law Donna Douglass; and his siblings, Robert Douglass (Corinne), Gene Douglass and Phyllis Hopkins (Ben).
He is survived by: his children, Susan Douglass of Grimes and Robert Douglass of Montezuma; his grandchildren, Jessica Douglass-Eurich, Derrick Flippin (Melissa) and Jarred Flippin of Nikiski, Alaska; his great grandchildren, Keith Eurich, Kyle Eurich (Emma), Addison Flippin, Gabriel Flippin, Kaylee Flippin and Emma Flippin; his great great grandchild Luca Eurich; and his sister-in-law Lois Douglass of Montezuma. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home (201 W Main St, Montezuma, IA 50171).
