Carolyn Gibbs Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolyn Gibbs of Monticello, Iowa, who passed away on May 5, 2026 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Otho H. McDonald and Mildred McDonald (Cook); her husband Lavern Marion Gibbs Sr.; and her brother Otho H. McDonald Jr.. She is survived by: her children, LaVern Gibbs Jr. (Dawn), Christopher Gibbs (Becky), Carl Gibbs (Lisa) and Paul Gibbs (Brenda); and her siblings, Sharon J. Smith (Brice) of Marion and Steven A. McDonald of Central City. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 13 great- grandchildren.
