Darold Rex Struve Obituary
With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Darold Rex Struve of Monticello, Iowa, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Darold Rex left this world on July 1, 2025 at the age of 97, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Struve and Laura Struve (Schliemann); and his wife Sara Hayden of Monticello. He is survived by: his siblings, Howard, Orland, Berlyn, Darwin and Lorraine Steinford; and his sons, Mike (Jeanne) of Fort Myers, FL, Doug (Eve) of Garland, TX and Jim (Adona) of Henderson, NV. He is also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Matthew Lutheran Church (226 N Cedar St, Monticello, IA 52310). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Monticello Food Bank.
