It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Joseph Manternach of Monticello, Iowa, who passed away on January 2, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Norbert Manternach and Katherine Manternach (Muller); his stepmother Martha Manternach; and his siblings, Rita, Christine Bertling and Norbert.
He is survived by : his wife Elaine Kopecky; his children, Patty Sharp (Greg) of Cedar Rapids, Linda Hartung (Al) of Dubuque, Diane Gray (Kevin) of Monticello, Duane Manternach (Sonya) of Monticello and Kevin Manternach (Nicole) of Ely; his siblings, Phyllis Manternach, Dan Manternach (Joan) of Monticello and Jerry Manternach (Carolyn) of Anamosa; and his sister-in-law Donna Manternach of Monticello. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
