He was predeceased by : his parents, George Manternach and Clara Manternach (Kurt); his spouse Shirley Besler; his daughter Nancy Lynn Manternach; his brothers, Carl and Melvin Manternach; and his siblings-in-law, Elodie Manternach, Don Besler (Mary), Mike Ahart and Steve Gulyosh.
He is survived by : his sons, Keith Manternach (Carla) of Monticello, Neil Manternach (Stacy) of Monticello and Kraig Manternach (Mikki) of Monticello; his grandchildren, Josh Manternach (Maggie), Nichole Wilson (Nick), Marissa Dirks (Chris), Andrea Lorenzen (Jacob), Jenna, Riley and Karli Manternach; his great grandchildren, Peyton, Clay, Colt Wilson and Damian Dirks; his stepgrandchildren, Lanie and Landon Then; his siblings, Paul Manternach of Cedar Rapids, Bernard Manternach (Anna) of Monticello, Ruth Ahart of Dows City, Mary Whalen (George) of Carson City, NV and Joyce Lynch (Rich) of Cascade; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Manternach of Monticello, Jean Knepper (Mike) of Dyersville, Verla Horsfield (Pat) of Epworth, Norma Butcher (Jim) of Farley, Helen Schnier (Dick) of Dyersville and Theresa Gulyosh of Dubuque.
Memorials are preferred to Sacred Heart Church and/or Sacred Heart School.
