She was predeceased by: her father Otto Steuri; her husband Galen Engelbart; her daughter Connie (Gary Grassi); her brother-in-law Ron Borkgren; her close friend Chris Holmes; and her parent Berdina Harms Steuri (Harms).
She is survived by: her sons, Jeff (Teresa) and Russ (Penny); her grandchildren, Ashley Rohdy (Chad), Jennie Meyer (Lucas), Amy Humlick (Ryan), Jacklyn Engelbart (Andrew Quinlisk), Katie Grassi, Anthony Engelbart and Jacob Engelbart; her great grandchildren, Blakelyn, Mackson Meyer, Ellory, Everett Rohdy, Hayes Humlick and Christian Quinlisk; and her sisters, Betty Hartman (Charles) and Shirley Borkgren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Wayne Zion Lutheran Church (15531 Co Rd E17, Monticello, IA 52310). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at the same location.
Janet enjoyed helping with the Harvest Festival where she would prepare and donate 200 pounds of sweet corn every year.
