He was predeceased by : his siblings, Roberta Coyle, Robert Wilcox (Sophia) and Marleen Herrington; and his father Robert C.. He is survived by : his children, Jenny Steuri (Gary), Randy Wilcox (Katie) and Scott Wilcox (Caty); his grandchildren, Austin, Jordan, Naryah and Gemma; his in-laws, Bud Coyle, L. J. Takes, Jean Takes, Joan Manternach (Dan), Mary Kay Ackerman (Ron), Carolyn Manternach (Jerry), Sally Sawyer (Jeff), Tom Takes (Mary), Alice Brighton, Al Takes (Liz), Carl Takes (Jan), Charlie Takes, Robby Takes and Billy Takes (Vickie); and his wife Darlene Takes.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Goettsch Funeral Home (514 W 1st St, Monticello, IA 52310-1301). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
