It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Jay Shannon of Monticello, Iowa, born in Anamosa, Iowa, who passed away on July 17, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his son Daniel; his siblings, Lorraine, Dorothy, Alice, Donna and Donald; his brother-in-law Robert Wehling; and his father John.

He is survived by : his wife Marigene; his sons, Jeffrey (Lisa) and Douglas (Crystal); his grandchildren, Amanda, Garrett, Keanan, Kyler, Kailey and Kaiden; his great grandchild Finleigh; his siblings, Connie Lipka (Al), Norma Jean Gibson (Gene) and Wayne Shannon (Gene); and his brother-in-law Paul Behrends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Oxford Junction Legion.
