She was predeceased by: her parents, Merton Wayne and Neva I. Deen (Henderson); her son Kevin McVay; her granddaughter Lynsey Niemeier; and her siblings, Neil Deen and Marian Marugg.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Rowe (Hal) of Spokane, Washington, Stanley Niemeier (Deana) of Walker and Jeffrey Niemeier (Alea) of Cedar Rapids; and her boyfriend James "Jim" Carpenter of Monticello. She is also survived by five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
