With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joy Helen Kemper of Montrose, Iowa, born in Gladstone, Illinois, who passed away on August 24, 2023 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Robert Bowen and Elizabeth Whitaker Bowen; and her siblings, William Bowen, Betty Black and Hazel Randell.

She is survived by : her children, David Hamner (Lori), Deneen Hamner and Maxx Lane (Eugene); and her sister Jackie Kuda (William). She is also survived by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or to the Montrose Church of Nazarene.
