He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Schulz and Dorothy Schulz (Carmichael); his wife Carolyn Baxter; and his siblings, Wayne, Dorothy Lee, Donald, Jewel and Joanne.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis Schulz (Joan) of St. Louis, Missouri, Cindy Sturm (Bob) of Argyle and Debbie Carlton (Rick) of Keokuk; his grandchildren, Christopher Schulz (Deena), Nathaniel Schulz (Jason), Timothy Carlton (Erica), Aaron Carlton (Erica), Candace Graybill (Tyler), Bradley Meredith (Melinda), Ryan Sturm, Tyler Sturm (Brandy), Katy Koval (Dan), Heather Temple (John) and Sara Kniffen; and his cousins, Michael Wilhelm of Mt. Pleasant and Stanley Wilhelm (Doris) of Keokuk. He is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren.
