He is survived by: his father David Boysen (Allen); his brother Lukas; his grandfathers, Greg Allen (Vicki), Rick Criss and Ray Wendt; his aunts and uncles, Jim Allen (Natalie), Zac Criss (Erin), Marde Johnson (Andrew), Sam Wendt (MJ), Bryson Allen, Brock Allen, Niki Carver (Roy) and Travis Wendt (Janelle); and his friend Matty Van Luyn.
Memorials in Alex's name may be made to the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House.
