It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Doug Prime (Mount Ayr, Iowa), born in Mason City, Iowa, who passed away on November 7, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Austin and Florence Austin; his parents-in-law, Don and Helen Laird; his daughter-in-law Leisha Prime; and his sister-in-law Kathy Rains.
He is survived by: his sons, Jeff, Tony and Douglas, Jr.; and his wife LaDonna Prime. He is also survived by children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren and a new great great granddaughter.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Armstrong Funeral Home (205 W Monroe St, Mt Ayr, IA 50854). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
