We announce the death of Joyce Kaster (Mount Ayr, Iowa), born in Kellerton, Iowa, who passed away on July 1, 2026, at the age of 85. Joyce will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Chet Gibson and Doris Gibson (Duffield); her grandparents, Ray and Pearl Duffield; and her brother Johnny.
She is survived by: her sons, Bryan Lee (Amy Kaster) of Harlan and Brent Kaster of Indianola; her grandchildren, Addie Klindt (Daylon) of Shelby, Kaleb Kaster (Maggie) of Mapleton, Greichaly Ellens (Chris) of Sioux Center and Ania of Harlan; and her great grandchild Rosie Klindt.
A memorial fund has been established to the Maple Row Cemetery in Kellerton.
