The memory of Barbara Scott of Mount Pleasant, Iowa, who passed away on May 14, 2025 at the age of 81, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Strong and Eunice Strong (Handy); and her husband James Scott. She is survived by: her children, Patrick Reed (Julie) of Marshfield, Diana Upton (Don) of Mount Pleasant, Connie Parker (Bobby) of Nashville, Melissa Wagner of Waukee, Heather Wagner Yates (George) of Fulton, James Scott Jr. (Mandy) of Mount Union and Robert Scott (Catie) of Mount Pleasant. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Olson-Powell Chapel (709 E Maple Leaf Dr, Mt Pleasant, IA 52641). A graveside service will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Grant Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established for Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice.
