We are sad to announce that, on April 9, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Dan Mertens of Mount Pleasant, Iowa. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Dan Mertens to show support.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Mertens and Marguerite Mertens (Burns). He is survived by: his wife Katie Mathes; his children, Marcy Stroud (Randy) of Mt. Pleasant, David Mertens of Mt. Pleasant and John Mertens (Laura) of Portland, Oregon; and his sister Mary Jo Mertens (James Judy) of Wever. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Every Step Hospice or PAW Animal Shelter in Ft. Madison.
