It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David M. Henessee of Mount Pleasant, Iowa, born in New London, Iowa, who passed away on April 5, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael "Pearl" Henessee and Stella Henessee (McDorman). He is survived by: his wife Verla Coburn; his daughters, Valerie Henessee of Mount Pleasant and Kristy Kruse (Eric) of Tipton; his grandsons, Jake Kruse and Nick Kruse; and his sisters, Mary Hunting of Osceola, Ruth Fobes of Melbourne, Lois Schmidt of Grantsburg and Linda Perry of North Branch, Minnesota..

A memorial fund has been established for First Baptist Church.
