He was predeceased by: his parents, George Baas and Elizabeth Baas (Wolfe). He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his stepdaughters, Dustie Dahlhauser of Kansas City, Missouri, Wendy Douglass (Garee) of Marion and Melissa Marshall of Stronghurst, Illinois; his grandchildren, Mackenzie Hogan, Adam Wade, Spencer Bunker, Zach Bunker, Ashley Covey and Otto Christofferson; his great grandchildren, Brandon Lee Bunker, Sadaira Covey, Nikkie Covey, Conner Riggle, Gemma Bunker, Austin Spears and Luke Bunker; and his siblings, Joanie, Lyle and Dale.

A memorial fund has been established for St. Jude Children's Hospital.
