He was predeceased by: his parents, Myron Bannister and Elizabeth Farrell Bannister; his former wife Emily McGehee; and his sisters, Myra Joanie and Rena.
He is survived by: his children, Tracy Hoffman (Stephen) of Tybee Island, Georgia, Jami Boles of Mt. Pleasant and Robert Bannister (Amy) of Ames; his grandchildren, Tristan Miller, Connor, Brian Hoffman, Morgan Baldwin (Fern), Mitch (Kristen), Levi, Alisha Boles, Quentin and Jayden Bannister; his great grandchild Carson Boles; and his brothers, Michael Bannister of Smyrna, TN, Myron Jr. Bannister (Melissa) and Jimmy Bannister (Donna) of La Vergne, TN. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
