It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Eldon W. Witthoft of Mount Pleasant, Iowa, born in Washington, Iowa, who passed away on April 4, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Frederick and Minnie Gertrude Witthoft (Semler); his wives, Sandra Schroeder and Sharon Hilbrant; his siblings, Ruth Maughan, Leonard and Clarence Witthoft; and his stepchildren, Cindy Tisdale and Ed Hiatt.
He is survived by: his children, Sara Ladlie (Darin) of Ft. Dodge, Susan Basye (Ryan) of Cedar Falls and Steven Witthoft (Tina) of Mount Pleasant; and his stepdaughters, Pam Oetken (Gary) of Danville, Deb Mueller (Jim Jr.) of Mount Pleasant and Christy Church of Des Moines. He is also survived by five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the Oakland Mills Nature Center.
