He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Hattie Gersema and Max Lorenz; and his great-grandparents, Chris and Viola Gersema. He is survived by: his parents, Joanna "Joie" Gersema of Mount Pleasant and Jeff Lorenz; his children, Sophia and Leo; the mother of his children Misty Wirt; his grandfather Chris Gersema of Marshalltown; and his siblings, Mitch Lorenz (Caitlin) of St. Louis, MO, Trent Lorenz (Soleil) of Mount Pleasant, Peirce Lorenz (Riley) of Winston Salem, NC and Danielle Wellington (Justis) of Mount Pleasant. He is also survived by six nieces, and three nephews.
