Gary L. Carter Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary L. Carter (Mount Pleasant, Iowa), born in Keosauqua, Iowa, who passed away on October 21, 2023 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Roger Nelson and Dorothy E. Carter (Hooper); his son Timothy Lee Carter; and his brother Roger Carter, Jr.. He is survived by : his wife Marlene Sue Stevens; his children, Tammy Sue Leffel of Mt. Pleasant and Jason Andrew Carter of Mt. Pleasant; his grandchildren, Casey Leffel and Sam Leffel (Brandi); and his brothers, Gene Carter (Linda) of Hillsboro and Gale Carter (Marie) of Hillsboro.
Memorials may be directed to St Jude's Children Hospital, in which Gary had received a heart valve from St Jude's or to Every Step Hospice in his memory.
