He was predeceased by: his parents, Newton Dorin and Aretta Van Dorin (Standley). He is survived by: his wife Mary Downey; his children, Scott Van Dorin (Deborah) of St. Charles, Illinois and Stacie Hoche (Steffen) of Santa Clarita, California; his granddaughters, Amanda Van Gyseghem (Matt) of North Aurora and Allison Van Dorin (Alec Baumgartner) of St. Charles, Illinois; and his brothers, David Van Dorin (Sharyl) of Mount Pleasant, Stan Van Dorin (Paula) of Burlington and Kevin Van Dorin (Shelley) of Mount Pleasant.
