He is survived by: his wife Jean Barker (Pottorff) of Mt. Pleasant; his children, Karmen Smith (David) of New London and Darrel Barker (Diann) of Madison, WI.; his grandchildren, Bradyn Smith of New London, Lindsay Smith of St. Petersburg, FL and Zachary Parker of Waterloo, IA.; and his sisters, Janet Knedler (Jim) of Topeka, KS and Marlys Meacham (Chuck) of Tucson, AZ..
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the First United Methodist Church (309 N Main St, Mt Pleasant, IA 52641).
