It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Wright of Mount Pleasant, Iowa, who passed away on September 17, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John Wright to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Merton Wright and Ruth Wright (Burrows); his former wife Kimberly Anne Heywood; and his siblings, Mary Russell, Betty Hall, Dorothy Lamm, Richard Wright and William Wright.
He is survived by: his wife Becky Jerabek; his daughters, Paula Cox (Steve) of Cordova, IL and Angie Booton (Kirby) of Mount Pleasant; the mother of his children Karen Wright of Mount Pleasant; his grandchildren, Natalie Taylor (Sam), Haley McElhinney (Thayne), Emily Hill (Tyler), Madeline Cox and Jeffery Cox; his stepsons, Louis McCaslin (Carol) and Joseph Jerabek; and his brother Bradley Wright (Nancy) of Albert Lea, MN.. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mount Pleasant Golf and Country Club (2275 Hickory Ave, Mt Pleasant, IA 52641).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Mount Pleasant Golf and Country Club or the Make A Wish Foundation.
